Annual Town Meeting 2026 – What an interesting evening!

Every year the Town Council organises an Annual Town Meeting for residents to come along and find out about what is going on in their community.

Guest speakers from local organisations give presentations about their work in and around Earley and the Town Mayor gives an update on Town Council projects and events over the past year. And of course, there is a nice cup of tea, coffee and biscuits, along with a chat to be had after the meeting.

This year’s meeting was held on Tuesday 21st April 2026 at Maiden Place Community Centre with thoroughly enjoyable and informative presentations from: –

Surveys show that 86% of people feel happier when stroking or sitting with a pet. PAT are always looking for volunteers and PAT dogs, so if you think you would be interested then do visit their website at: – www.petsastherapy.org

Ian Gough of Reduce Energy Ltd – provide tours of the Wind Turbine located at Green Park, Reading.  The turbine is now 20 years old and works in wind speeds of 4mph to 67mph, providing homes with energy.  Tours can be booked by emailing [email protected]
