Did you know there is a public piano at Lower Earley Library?
The piano is available through a partnership with the Berkshire Music Trust. It comes with headphones so you can play without disturbing other library users and with no need to feel self-conscious in your ability.
Anyone is welcome to play. There is sheet music available for use in the library or to borrow and use at home.
The piano can be used at any time during opening hours – just ask for the headphones at the counter.
The piano is used by musicians from the Berkshire Music Trust twice a week in term time, to lead free sessions for the public, to which you are welcome to attend – no booking required.
- Thursdays (term time only), 10am to 10.30am, Mini Maestros – a fun music class for under five year olds.
- Fridays (term time only), 3.30pm to 4.30pm, for adults, an hour of old favourites, classic tunes and songs you can sing-along to.
