A Paw-some Coffee Morning!

Last Wednesday, Cllr Nicola Brock, Mayor of Earley, hosted a coffee morning in aid of her nominated charity, Pets As Therapy.

Pets As Therapy are a community of pet owners and amazing pets who visit hospitals, care homes and schools bringing companionship, joy and comfort to those in need. The coffee morning offered residents the chance to meet four of these remarkable dogs and talk to their owners whilst enjoying a wonderful selection of cakes and raising £260 for this incredible charity.

University of Reading were also in attendance running a workshop decorating bunting to be displayed at their Centenary Community Festival taking place in May.

Thank you to the teams at Pets As Therapy, Austen House Care Home and The Food Fairies for supporting the event.

We would like to say an extra special thank you to Fraser, Herbie, Ralph and Yogi (and of course their humans!) not only for coming on the day and spreading so much joy to the residents of Earley, but for the work they do all year round making a difference to so many people’s lives!
