Earley Repair Café Supports The Link Visiting Scheme This Christmas

Having had an incredibly successful first year, the Earley Repair Café has decided to pay it forward this Christmas.

Although there is no charge for repair services, the Earley Repair Café relies on donations to cover its running costs as well as enabling it to invest in specialist tools, equipment and training in order to expand their services. During the opening year, the Repair Café has been fortunate to receive sufficient donations, that the volunteers have unanimously agreed to pass on £140 of the donations received to support those facing loneliness and isolation this Christmas.

A donation of £140 has been made to support The Link Visiting Scheme’s Christmas Appeal. This donation will provide a Christmas Lunch, gift and most importantly companionship to four local residents on a day where they would otherwise be on their own. As Earley Repair Café volunteer Denny put it “it’s great to support local people, to spread a little comfort and company”.
