Help spread joy this Christmas….
For many families Christmas can be a time for worry rather than joy. Children facing poverty, family crisis, homelessness, or displacement may otherwise wake up to no gifts at all.
The Cowshed is helping to ease this pressure for families through its Christmas Project, which distributes presents to families in need across the borough.
Last year, the charity brought festive joy to over 2,400 children with lovingly chosen and beautifully wrapped gifts.
The Cowshed Christmas Project is a true celebration of community spirit, made possible by the kindness of local people, churches, schools, companies, and organisations who come together to spread festive cheer. This year, as the cost-of-living crisis continues to affect so many, the need is greater than ever.
There are lots of ways you can help make Christmas special for a child in need:
- Host a Tree of Hope at your workplace, school or community group.
- Donate to the Big Give Christmas Challenge and double the impact of your gift.
- Buy a present from the Cowshed’s Amazon Wishlist to go straight into a child’s sack.
- Sponsor a sack of gifts and give a child the full magic of Christmas morning.
- Fundraise or run your own collection with friends, colleagues, or neighbours.
