On Saturday 31st August, the Mayor attended Reading Pride’s Love Unites Parade & Festival 2024.
Together with the High Sheriff Of Berkshire and Borough Mayors of Wokingham, Reading, Windsor and Maidenhead and Bracknell, they led a three-mile parade for celebration around Reading town centre, finishing at King’s Meadow.
The festival included live entertainment, a variety of stalls selling gifts, organisations sharing support and information, and plenty of food options.
Speaking after the event, the Mayor said, “I was pleased to be invited, this was a really joyous event with many families attending.”
