Earley Town Council is celebrating the success of its Huge Earley Litter Pick (H.E.L.P) held on Sunday 24th March. The Town Council, who have been running this annual event for over 20 years, hold the event in support of Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean campaign. The event is supported by Earley Environmental Group (EEG) and Earley-Adopt-A-Street-Initiative (EASI), plus staff from McDonalds, Lower Earley.
For 2024, there were nine separate litter picking routes across Earley, with each route guided by a volunteer group leader. A total of 157 residents gave up their time on the Sunday to help keep Earley tidy, this was an increase of 30% on last years figures. In total, the wonderful team of volunteers collected 98 bags of rubbish!
