This morning our Park Ranger became aware of four cygnets in distress on the bank of Maiden Erlegh Lake. At this time of year, any cygnets that are still in their parents territory often get a not so polite nudge to move on and that is what happened to the cygnets on our lake this morning.
Thank you to Swan Lifeline for coming to the rescue and helping Ashley get the cygnets to safety. The cygnets are now receiving extra food and a checkup and will then be released together in a new location where they will have the space to thrive.
