Earley Town Council is delighted to announce that its Helpshop will now serve as a drop off point for the Wokingham Foodbank to allow residents to donate food and to support local people on the lowest incomes. With the cost-of-living crisis deepening more families than ever are reliant on the support that foodbanks provide, and Earley Town Council is keen to support this much needed initiative.
Donations can be dropped off at the Helpshop during its normal opening hours (Monday to Friday 9am – 1pm, 2pm – 4:30pm).
The Earley Town Council Helpshop is located at the Council Offices, Radstock Lane, RG6 5UL.
As well as regular donations, residents can also support the Foodbank’s Reverse Advent Calendar campaign by contributing items from a list so that those in need can receive a festive parcel to join in the Christmas cheer this year. The campaign isn’t just about encouraging people to donate, it’s also about raising awareness of food poverty. You can download the Reverse Advent Calendar.
Donations for the Reverse Advent Calendar need to be delivered to the Earley Town Council Helpshop by Friday 2nd December 2022 to enable the parcels to be delivered in time for Christmas. Regular donations will continue to be accepted after this date.
