Earley Community Transport Scheme Back in Action

The Wokingham Volunteer Centre are proud to announce that the Community Transport Scheme for residents of Earley is once again up and running.

As of 26th May the service is open for bookings. It provides support for older residents unable to use public transport who need to attend medical and similar appointments at their doctor’s surgery, dentist or hospital and are also able to provide transport to social events and activities including shopping, lunch clubs and the like.

To find our more about the service, please contact the Wokingham Volunteer Centre on 0118 986 6980 or email [email protected].

The Wokingham Volunteer Centre are also keen to recruit more drivers so that this valuable service can be rolled out to more residents. If you are able to consider helping deliver this service, please get in contact with the Earley Community Transport Scheme on 0118 986 6980 or email [email protected]. Volunteer drivers decide when and how far they want to drive and expenses are reimbursed.

The Transport Desks are manned by volunteers, who help out on a rota basis.

Earley Transport Desk is manned: Monday / Wednesday / Friday 10.00am to 1.00pm.
