Earley Town Council would like to thank everyone who attended the Huge Earley Litter Pick on Sunday 3rd April. This was part of Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean and organized in association with Earley Adopt-a-Street Initiative (EASI) and the Earley Environmental Group.
This year the event aimed to cover a large part of the town and had leaders starting in different points with sessions in both the morning and afternoon. It was gratifying to see just how many residents joined in, including whole families with young children, all up for picking up litter. There were over sixty for just the morning session- a record turnout! Numbers were swelled by attendance from some of our newest residents from Hong Kong. McDonalds also provided extra support with their staff who collected litter from a wide radius around the restaurant.
A huge thank you to everyone for helping keep Earley a litter free zone.
