Charity Fishing Match Raises Funds for Thames Valley Air Ambulance

On Sunday 10th October, Earley Town Council’s Water Bailiffs held a charity fishing match at Maiden Erlegh Lake to raise funds for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance. The event was a great success, with 24 anglers looking for glory.

Gordon Dart won 1st place taking the gold medal and crystal tankard, Andrew Cooke took silver and Grant Brent claimed bronze, and a good day was had by all at Maiden Erlegh Nature Reserve.

The charity match raised £375 for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance, which is enough to keep one of their emergency response vehicles on the road for one week, bringing the expertise, equipment and medication of the hospital to where it is needed most.
