Earley Town Council has been notified by Wokingham Borough Council that a footpath will be closed for repairs near Loddon Bridge (FP 15) from 26th July 2021.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL as Traffic Authority for the road mentioned below HEREBY GIVES NOTICE under Section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and because it is considered necessary and expedient that the restrictions shall come into force without delay all traffic is HEREBY PROHIBITED from proceeding along that part of Footpath 15 Earley between Points A and B on the map attached hereto for a distance of 75 metres.
The alternative route for all traffic during the closure period shall be by proceeding from the closed part of Footpath 15 in a generally westerly direction for a distance of 448 metres and then in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 100 metres and then in a generally north-easterly then south-easterly direction for 200 metres and then in a generally westerly direction for 250 metres to the opposite side of the closed part of Footpath 15 or by this route in reverse.
The restrictions shall come into force on the date given below and shall continue for a period of 5 days and thereafter it is intended that they shall be continued by Order until the Council considers it appropriate to reopen the closed section of the footpath to all traffic.
