Wild World Heroes – Wokingham Libraries Summer Reading Challenge

This year’s Summer Reading Challenge #WildWorldHeroes will be a physical one at Wokingham, Woodley and Lower Earley Libraries – with a few adaptations to make it as safe as possible.

Registration opens from the 10th July onwards, and the challenge runs until the 29th August. When you register, your child will be given a pack that contains the collectors poster, 6 stickers and a bookmark. You can register online at https://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk

It is open to all primary school aged library members. If your child is not a library member, they will be able to join at this point.

This year WBC is asking parents/grandparents/carers to talk to their children at home about the books they are reading and to hand out the 6 stickers at the appropriate time. Please don’t hand out all the stickers in one go – they should be incentives to encourage the children to keep reading.

Once all 6 books have been read and the book review boxes has been completed, please return to the library and you can collect your child’s finisher pack and the library will mark off that your child has completed the challenge.

You are welcome to visit the library as many times as you like over the summer to choose books – they can’t wait to see you all.
