ADVANCE NOTIFICATION OF UPCOMING OVERNIGHT WORKS ALONG A SECTION OF A329 READING ROAD NEAR WOODWARD CLOSE
Earley Town Council have been notified about a short period of upcoming overnight works planned for next month.
The upcoming overnight works are part of the next phase of the WRR project, tying in the roundabout to the existing road, marked in red on the map directly below.
Works are scheduled to be carried out over three nights (between 8pm and 6am) starting from the week beginning 9th November 2020. You can expect to see a change in the existing temporary traffic management layout.
Temporary traffic lights at the Woodward Close junction are set to remain in operation. The flow of traffic will be continually monitored in order to in order to mitigate delays along this busy section of road. Delays can be expected until Christmas.
Due to the nature of the works, noise levels may be higher than normal which cause an inconvenience, but mitigation efforts will be put in place to keep any intrusion to a minimum and mitigate the impact as far as possible.
Daily public safety will remain a priority, as will access to the Emergency Services. Additionally, access for local residents will remain open at all times. Temporary lights will be installed for the safety of pedestrians.
