Reopening of Earley Town Council Helpshop

Monday 27th July 2020

Earley Town Council staff have continued to work throughout lockdown, supporting residents by email and telephone and delivering our essential services from the Council offices in Radstock Lane.

We are pleased to announce that we are now in a position to reopen the Helpshop to visitors in person as from Monday 27th July 2020.

The majority of the services normally available from the Town Council will resume, however, the continued closure of the Wokingham Borough Council offices at Shute End will affect the way we can deliver some of them. Please note – residents wishing to pay their Council Tax through the Helpshop will only be able to pay by cheque as the Borough is not accepting cash payments and the Town Council is not permitted to accept credit/debit card payments on behalf of the Borough.

When you visit the Helpshop you will see a few changes such as a restriction on the number of people allowed in at any one time and the provision of hand sanitiser but our friendly Helpshop officers are looking forward to welcoming residents back. More details on the measures being put in place to protect residents and town council staff are available on the Town Council website.

Please note that the opening hours of the Helpshop have been slightly amended in order to allow for extra cleaning of the premises to take place. The new opening times are:

Monday to Friday            9am – 12 noon and 2.00pm – 4.00pm.

In order for us to continue serving our customers safely, we ask for your patience and understanding with our new ways of working and would request that you wear a face covering when entering the premises.

Thank you
