Last week, with the help of the tree surgeons, our Park Rangers reinstated three owl boxes at Maiden Erlegh Nature Reserve

Speaking about the boxes, our Park Rangers said “The owl boxes were made locally and donated to the reserve, to which they have been installed for the last three years. During this time species such as tawny owls have used the boxes. Unfortunately, the ropes previously used had weathered resulting in the boxes falling. The boxes have now been reinstalled with weather resistant rope, and are hoped to last and be used for many more years to come.”
