As part of the WW1 commemorations this year, War Memorial banners from the towns and parishes within Wokingham will be displayed at Wokingham Town Hall between Monday 5th November 2018 and Thursday 8th November 2018 and an official launch will take place at 11.00am on 5th November, to be attended by the Mayors and Parish Chairman of Wokingham.
Since 2014 and the 100th Anniversary of the start of the First World War, Wokingham Town Council has hosted a number of commemorative events to honour the bravery of those who fought, lived and died during this period and this year, they have worked closely with a wide range of organisations to facilitate a number of themed events and activities.
