RG Blue Sox is a Reading based co-ed Softball team that plays in the Windsor and Maidenhead Softball League (WMSL).
Softball is bit like Rounders but more like Baseball in terms of the rules. We play Slowpitch Softball, as the name implies ball is pitched slowly and underarm to the batter, which makes it easier to hit. Softball is a very social game and this gives you a chance to make a heap of new friends.
RG Blue Sox are hosting two ladies only taster sessions at Kendrick school sports hall on Sunday 18 February 2:30-4:30pm and Sunday 4th March 11:30-1:30pm. Each session will start with an introduction to basic Softball rules and skills, followed by some practice drills. Session will end with a friendly game of Softball and opportunity to ask any questions. Session will be indoors and all equipment will be provided, and will be run by several experienced members of the club.
