REFUSE COLLECTION & RECYCLING

Garden Refuse/Bulky Household Items

To assist residents with the disposal of garden rubbish and other domestic items, the Town Council pays for the provision of Refuse Vehicles throughout the Town. The schedule for 2007/08 (subject to the notice above) is as follows:

No Televisions, computer monitors or fridges/freezers to be placed in skip

These facilities are for the disposal of domestic rubbish only - please place rubbish in vehicle or skip NOT on the ground. The District Council will allow for the collection of one bag (not more than 25Kg.) of garden refuse per week to be put out with the normal weekly collection.


Recycling

The District Council runs a kerbside recycling scheme. Newspapers (bundled) together with plastic bottles, containers and cans should be left out once a fortnight for collection with your normal household waste. Materials for recycling should placed in the black recycling bins (provided by Wokingham District Council free of charge). Glass and textiles should be taken to your nearest recycling station (details from the Town Council Offices). Green Garden Bags should be left out alternative weeks to the black recycling boxes. Replacement Green Bags can be obtained from the Town Council Offices, and additional Green bags can also be purchased, to a maximum of 3 extra per household


'Mucky Puppy' Sacks

'Mucky Puppy' Sacks for use by responsible dog owners are available free of charge from the Town Council Offices.
